I am not an Arab. I am not Palestinian. But above all, I am a human being who believes in justice and freedom for all. This petition is driven by my deep-rooted belief that everyone deserves to live in peace, dignity, and sovereignty.

Palestine has been under occupation for more than half a century. The United Nations has recognized the State of Palestine since 2012, yet the reality on the ground remains unchanged (UN General Assembly Resolution 67/19). Palestinians are still living under occupation, their basic human rights violated daily.

The situation is dire – according to B'Tselem - The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories, there were 7,000 Palestinians held as prisoners by Israel as of October 2021. Moreover, Amnesty International's annual report on Israel and Occupied Palestinian Territories highlights numerous instances of excessive use of force against civilians.

We need global leaders to acknowledge this crisis and take concrete steps towards ensuring an independent and free Palestine where its people can live with dignity.

This isn't about politics; it's about humanity. It's time we stand up against injustice wherever it exists because our silence makes us complicit too.
