Adopt Don't Shop: A Call to Stop Animal Homelessness

Adopt Don't Shop: A Call to Stop Animal Homelessness
The Issue
The Philippine Animal Welfare Society estimated that there are 13 million stray dogs and cats in the country as of this year 2023. The petition then propose the building of more and bigger animal shelters across the Philippines. This is to offer these strays a home where they can eat regularly, sleep comfortably, and be taken care of responsibly. The petition ultimately desires to find these pets their permanent and forever family, only fostering them until then. As with any of those who love animals, we believe that if we don't stand for our dogs and cats, no one will. So we are taking a step forward to a stop homelessness as much as we could possibly can.
This is a call to action to address the issue of stray and homeless animals in our communities. The petition advocates for the implementation of effective policies and programs to help reduce the number of animals that are abandoned, neglected, or left without a home. It also aims to raise awareness about the importance of responsible pet ownership and the benefits of adopting animals from shelters and rescue organizations.
This petition highlights the fact that millions of animals end up in shelters each year, and many of them are ultimately euthanized due to overcrowding and lack of resources. It emphasizes the need for increased funding and support for animal welfare organizations, as well as the importance of spaying and neutering pets to help control the population of stray animals.
This petition aims to give awareness to everyone that the cats and dogs in the shelter are open for adoption. Thus, this encourages everyone to adopt since it is a way to support local shelters instead of supporting breeding facilities or puppy mills that have cruel practices. Aside from this, adopting pets from shelters typically cost less than pets purchased or can even be acquired for free. There are a lot of pets in shelters today that are eager to find their forever homes.
Overall, this Petition to end animal homelessness is a powerful statement of support for the millions of animals that are in need of loving homes and humane treatment. Animals must live in places where they have abundant food sources, water sources, and shelter that protects them from predators or harsh weather conditions. Through this, we can also lessen the chances of diseases such as rabies that can be transmitted to humans or to your own pets from stray cats and dogs. In addition, we seeks to inspire individuals and organizations to take action to help end the cycle of animal homelessness and improve the lives of animals in our communities.
As with any of those who love animals, we believe that if we don't stand for our dogs and cats, no one else will.
