Like many families in Rajendra Nagar, Bareilly, we have long dreamed of a neighborhood where children can play freely on clean streets and where the community thrives in a hygienic environment. Unfortunately, due to the continuous negligence of the authorities towards this ongoing water leakage issue, this dream seems far from reality.

Statistics show that stagnant water is a significant contributor to mosquito breeding, leading to diseases such as Dengue and Malaria, which are prevalent in Uttar Pradesh. The World Health Organization (WHO) highlights the importance of addressing water stagnation in urban areas as a public health priority.

We should focus on finding a swift and sustainable solution to this problem. Our communities can only flourish if essential amenities like water management are maintained effectively. I urge the local government, the Bareilly Nagar Nigam, and the Water Works Department to take immediate action to fix the water pipes, ensure regular maintenance, and establish a rapid-response team dedicated to such infrastructure issues.
