Address unfair treatment by teacher Ms. Houston

The Issue

I've reached a breaking point with the way we students are treated by Ms. Houston. Every day, without fail, she picks out the same students, myself included, catching attitudes and making us feel like we're constantly in the wrong, even when we haven't done a single thing to deserve such treatment. It's exhausting, and it's making students want to stay home, keeping us from our education, which is something we all deserve.

Being in an environment where a teacher continually targets specific students creates an uninviting and hostile atmosphere. When someone in a position of authority acts in such a biased manner, it chips away at students’ confidence and morale, affecting not only our current academic performance but also our overall emotional well-being. One of the fundamental roles of educators is to foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment, something that we, unfortunately, do not feel with Ms. Houston at the helm.

This ongoing issue isn't just about the attitudes. It's about fairness, respect, and the right to learn in an environment free of hostility. There's a noticeable decline in student engagement and attendance because so many of us are discouraged by this unfair treatment.

Studies have shown that students perform better academically and socially in positive, supportive learning environments. A teacher's attitude directly impacts students’ motivation and eagerness to learn. We need our institution to take action now to ensure the faculty supports rather than hinders our educational journey.

We need an evaluation of Ms. Houston’s conduct in relation to her classroom management and treatment of students. It is crucial that school administration listens and takes our concerns seriously before it's too late for those of us who are at their breaking point.

Please sign this petition to demand that the school administers a detailed investigation into these matters, and takes immediate corrective measures to restore a conducive learning environment for all students.
