The Issue

I haven't seen or heard from my children in two years. CPS, lawyers, and the judges in Pushmataha County have taken them away. This is not just my story; it is a tragic tale shared by many parents across Oklahoma, who have been stripped of their basic rights due to biased and unethical actions.

The Child Protective Services (CPS) is an institution designed to protect children and ensure their welfare. Yet, in Pushmataha County, as well as in other parts of Oklahoma, families have been torn apart by decisions that seem rooted in bias and unethical practices. By failing to adhere to fair legal standards, the very system meant to support us seems to be working against us.

According to reports, Oklahoma has one of the highest rates of children being placed into foster care compared to the national average. While such actions are sometimes necessary for child safety, it's crucial that these decisions are made with objectivity and fairness, ensuring each family receives the due process they deserve.

We must demand transparency and accountability in the CPS processes. Implementing regular audits by independent bodies could help identify bias or unethical practices, offering a more balanced system for parents and children alike. Training programs that focus on ethics and impartiality for social workers and legal teams could go a long way in mending this broken system.

The emotional toll on both parents and children due to wrongful separation can lead to long-term psychological damage. Every child deserves to live in a safe and loving environment, but the process to determine such a home should never be prejudiced or biased.

Join me in urging state officials to investigate the practices within CPS in Oklahoma, particularly in Pushmataha County, to ensure that all involved in child welfare are upholding the highest standards of justice and ethics. Please sign this petition to bring about change and reunite families with fairness and compassion. Please help us in bringing our babies home.
