Address unethical practices by RegisterKaro
The Issue
I am writing to share my deeply troubling experience with RegisterKaro, an online business registration service platform, and to raise broader concerns affecting multiple customers.
After making a significant payment for services including compliance and trademark assistance, I expected timely and professional support. However, the reality was very different. Even after several months, a substantial portion of the promised work remained incomplete despite repeated follow-ups.
A concerning pattern emerged during my interactions:
Continuous and repeated calls from multiple representatives, often pushing additional paid services that were presented as “necessary”
Services being described as essential or urgent during sales, but later not delivered properly or left incomplete
Lack of response after payment, including messages and calls being ignored for days or weeks
Poor execution quality, with forms and processes often appearing incorrect or unclear
Being left to handle parts of the process independently despite paying for professional assistance
At one point, communication stopped almost entirely within days of payment. Due to this lack of support, I was forced to approach a local Chartered Accountant independently to understand and manage my situation.
Requesting a refund turned into a prolonged and stressful process that lasted over 1–2 months, requiring persistent effort and repeated follow-ups. While I was eventually able to secure a refund, it came at the cost of significant mental stress and time loss.
Additionally, I experienced repeated calls even after requesting cancellation, which added to the overall pressure and distress.
This does not appear to be an isolated case. A review of public platforms such as MouthShut, Reddit, and LinkedIn shows numerous customers reporting similar concerns, including:
Delayed or incomplete services
Misleading pricing or unclear service scope
Excessive follow-ups for additional payments
Poor customer support and lack of accountability
Some individuals have reported being stuck for several months, while others have faced significant financial losses due to delays and confusion during critical business processes.
Such practices can have a serious impact on individuals and startups, especially when they rely on timely compliance and registration services to operate legally and grow their businesses.
I respectfully urge the relevant authorities to:
Investigate the business practices of RegisterKaro
Ensure transparency in pricing and service commitments
Establish accountability for delays, poor service delivery, and customer handling
Strengthen consumer protection mechanisms for online business service platforms
Consumers and startups deserve reliable, transparent, and respectful service — especially in critical areas like business registration and compliance.
I request fellow consumers who have faced similar issues to come forward and share their experiences, so that appropriate action can be taken and others can be protected from similar situations.
