Our homes, which are tied up with Unitech Limited, a well-known real estate company, have now been caught in an administrative limbo due to the absence of a Chief Managing Director (CMD), a critical leadership position that has remained unfilled since 21st July 2026.
The tenure of the previous CMD came to an end on 20th July 2026, and as per the regulatory norms outlined in the Companies Act, 2013, a successor should have been appointed promptly to maintain continuity in leadership and operations. This legal requirement is critical to ensuring stability and transparency within the organization, yet it has not been honoured. This has not only stalled vital operational decisions but also threatened the faith of investors and homebuyers like ourselves.
As potential residents of Unitech Unihomes, we have invested not just money but also our hopes and futures into these homes. Our trust in the system is now wavering due to the administrative void left by the lack of a CMD. With several projects and operations under Unitech Limited, this leadership gap has begun impacting construction timelines, project deliveries, and customer service inquiries, adding undue stress upon buyers.
We urge the Ministry of Corporate Affairs to take prompt action by appointing a qualified CMD to steer Unitech Limited back to a path of efficiency and reliability. This will not only address the current operational disruptions but also renew stakeholder confidence, vital for the company's future. Furthermore, this action will prevent further delays, ensuring that all customers, investors, and employees involved can see a clear path forward.
