The petition calls for Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski's resignation following a series of released wiretapped conversations that appear to show that the Macedonian government has been involved in a wide range of anti-democratic practices. They include: election fraud, the abuse of the justice system and covering up the murder of a young man by a police officer.

This petition is to express the grave concern at these recent political developments in Macedonia and express solidarity with the on-going civil protests against the current Macedonian government. 

We demand:

• Immediate resignation of the entire Government;
• Urgent release of all activists detained from May 5th onwards;
• Form an Interim Government to enable and execute the processes for institutional democratisation.

By signing this petition you send a strong message to the ruling political parties in Macedonia for democratisation in the country: enable free and unbiased media in the country (free from government control and censorship), create a non-partisan government to investigate events in the past months in an objective and transparent manner, overcome the political deadlock in the country related to democratisation of government institutions from partisan politics.
