Join our Facebook group 'It Takes a Village Kauai' to share your ideas and innovations! Our collaborators are working together to stop state and federal government agencies from using taxpayer money to dump toxic poisons on islands everywhere -- PERMANENTLY!!!
For more than a decade, Bell Laboratories and the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service have teamed up with and helped to fund the 'nonprofit' organization 'Island Conservation.' Island Conservation's core purpose is to drop hundreds of tons of 'restricted use' rat poison on islands throughout the world in the name of 'conservation.' This is their business model. This is what they get paid to do.
Receiving revenues in excess of $100 million per year, Island Conservation is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization contracted by government agencies to helicopter drop anticoagulant rat poison on wildlife sanctuaries worldwide.
What Island Conservation and the Federal Government don't tell you is that these massive poison drops also kill what they call "non-targeted species" -- including native and migratory birds, as well as 'non-targeted' mammals and marine wildlife. When these 'non-targeted' animals eat the poisoned pellets, or consume contaminated creatures that did, they suffer the same long and agonizing deaths as the rats. This 'conservation' model is inhumane, and it has to stop now!
Tomorrow, we begin to follow the money!!!
We invite you to help us solve the complex web of government grants, special interest money, and private donations that are funding these global poison drops. It is time to shed light on this nontransparent process of purchasing poison and indiscriminately dumping it across pristine islands and delicate wildlife habitats.
You can help! Dig deep into the internet to uncover facts and figures, and be a part of revealing the truth about why our government is paying one tax-exempt organization so much money to poison our planet!
These toxic poison drops negatively impact the livelihoods of the surrounding communities who depend on these islands for survival. Many more toxic chemical drops are planned for the future, and a number of them have already occurred throughout the world; including Hawai`i, Alaska, U.S. controlled territories in the Caribbean and Pacific, Mexico, New Zealand, -- and maybe even in your own backyard.
If you or your loved ones live on or near any of these islands -- or if you just simply care about animals and local families who are subjected to these toxic poison -- please join us at 'It Takes a Village Kauai' today -- and spend a little time doing something Good!!!
