Tiffany and Co has a line of crystal lead products. Tiffany and Co does have safety precautions on their website, Some people may purchase the item without reading this. Even so the list does not state the full harms that crystal lead can have. This is dangerous because if a child or pregnant people (it could pass lead on to the child) come in close contact with the glassware (without following proper safety precautions)they can be exposed to the lead. 

   But what harm does crystal lead have? The amount of lead in Tiffany's crystal lead products is 24% (according to the Tiffany and Co website) and if you use the products daily or even care for them wrong you or your child might be exposed to the lead. Tiffany even says in a customer question that “Consuming foods or beverages that have been kept or served in lead crystal products can potentially expose you to lead” being exposed to lead can have mild to severe whoever it affects pregnant people and children most of all. Lead can cause brain damage in young children, lower IQ scores, comas, convulsions, cancer, even death. According to Mayo clinic, lead poisoning is dangerous and if we don't take proper precautions children and adults  can be hurt. 

There are also many environmental issues that come with lead. There is lead in many places: the air, the ground, it can even settle on animals. This is a big problem. Lead can be inhaled and ingested. Lead is just as dangerous in the environment as in Tiffany and co’s lead crystal products. It has the same impacts and can impact anyone, but mainly children and pregnant women according to the Minnesota pollution agency. 

Why do we want to put a warning label on their products? We are aware that asking Tiffanys to remove their whole line of crystal lead products is a lot to ask. Even though crystal lead is hurting the planet it is difficult to stop crystal lead all at once we can slowly take steps to remove all crystal lead products and the first step we are taking is to add a warning label to their products this warning will help prevent as many people from buying the products and we are going to take small steps to help get rid of crystal lead products.
