Tell Uber: Add the Lucid Gravity to Eligible Vehicle Lists Nationwide

To Uber Technologies, Inc.:

We request that Uber add all passenger versions of the Lucid Gravity—including the Lucid Gravity Pure, Touring, and Grand Touring—to its nationwide vehicle eligibility database for the following services wherever they are offered:

UberX
Uber Share
Uber Green
Uber Comfort
Uber Black
Uber Black SUV
Uber Deliveries (including Uber Eats and package delivery services)
Uber Premium
Uber riders, drivers, Lucid owners, electric-vehicle supporters, and members of the broader public are encouraged to support this request. Fair and consistent vehicle eligibility expands rider choice, gives qualified drivers more flexibility, and supports the transition to cleaner transportation.

The Lucid Gravity is a modern, fully electric luxury SUV designed to transport passengers safely, comfortably, and efficiently. Depending on its configuration, it offers seating for up to seven occupants, a spacious interior, substantial passenger and cargo capacity, advanced safety technology, and the premium features expected from vehicles operating on Uber’s higher-tier services.

A vehicle capable of meeting the standards for Uber Black, Uber Black SUV, or Uber Premium should not be categorically excluded from services such as UberX, Uber Share, Uber Green, Uber Comfort, or Uber Deliveries simply because the model has not been consistently entered into Uber’s vehicle database.

We are not asking Uber to waive legitimate requirements. Each vehicle and driver should still be required to satisfy all applicable standards, including:

Vehicle age and condition requirements
Seating and door requirements
Registration and insurance requirements
Local licensing and inspection rules
Driver background and eligibility requirements
Any additional standards applicable to Uber Black, Uber Black SUV, Uber Premium, or Uber Deliveries
However, eligibility should be determined using the Lucid Gravity’s actual specifications—not an incomplete, inconsistent, or outdated vehicle list.

Adding the Lucid Gravity would benefit Uber riders by providing access to:

A quiet and comfortable all-electric ride
A spacious SUV with flexible passenger seating
Additional options for families and larger groups
A premium vehicle option for riders requesting Uber Comfort, Uber Black, Uber Black SUV, or Uber Premium
Efficient and spacious capacity for Uber Deliveries, including food and package transport
Reduced tailpipe emissions through Uber Green
Greater availability of high-quality electric vehicles on the Uber platform
It would also allow qualified drivers to use one of the newest American electric SUVs while supporting Uber’s efforts to expand electric mobility and delivery services.

We ask Uber to take the following actions:

Add the Lucid Gravity Pure, Touring, and Grand Touring to Uber’s national vehicle database.
Make the Lucid Gravity eligible for UberX, Uber Share, Uber Green, Uber Comfort, and Uber Deliveries when the individual vehicle satisfies the applicable local requirements.
Make properly licensed, insured, registered, and commercially qualified Lucid Gravity vehicles eligible for Uber Black, Uber Black SUV, and Uber Premium when they meet the requirements of the local market.
Ensure that Lucid Gravity vehicles equipped with qualifying seating configurations are properly evaluated for Uber Black SUV and other higher-capacity service categories.
Provide Uber support representatives with accurate and consistent guidance so that eligible Lucid Gravity owners are not repeatedly rejected because the model is missing from an internal dropdown menu or automated system.
Establish a clear escalation and vehicle-review process for newly released vehicles that have not yet been added to Uber’s automated eligibility database.
Uber should evaluate vehicles according to objective standards such as safety, seating capacity, vehicle condition, age, passenger comfort, cargo capacity for deliveries, and applicable local regulations.

The Lucid Gravity should not be excluded simply because Uber’s vehicle database has not kept pace with the introduction of a new vehicle model.

We respectfully ask Uber to review the Lucid Gravity promptly and approve all qualifying trims and configurations nationwide, subject to the normal requirements of each city and service level.
