Add President Trump to Mount Rushmore

Add President Trump to Mount Rushmore
The Issue
Mount Rushmore is a towering tribute to American greatness—honoring presidents who shaped the nation’s foundation, preserved its unity, and elevated its promise.
As we approach America’s 250th birthday, it’s time we consider adding another face to this granite monument of legacy: President Donald J. Trump.
I’m an Air Force veteran. My first day of service was scheduled for September 11, 2001. I love my country, but I watched President George W. Bush and then Barack Obama tear our country down. Then President Trump entered the scene and I realized: he truly loves our country and wants what’s best for her.
President Trump is every bit as worthy as the four presidents already on Mt. Rushmore and his legacy already justifies adding his likeness to Mt. Rushmore. His time in office has sparked seismic shifts across American society, global diplomacy, and economic policy.
President Trump has reignited the American economy with a vigor unseen in decades. In his first term, the U.S. saw historically low unemployment rates, including record-low unemployment for African Americans, Hispanic Americans, and women.
He has sought peace through strength, applying tough diplomacy without dragging America into new wars.
He has secured the border, and emphasized law and order and national sovereignty.
He has reclaimed America’s voice on the world stage.
Most importantly, he has become a symbol of a movement—a defiant voice for those long ignored by Washington elites. He challenged media orthodoxy, government bureaucracy, and entrenched political systems. Millions of people from across party lines are feeling heard for the first time.
President Trump, like the icons before him, has fundamentally altered the trajectory of the United States in ways that will echo across generations.
Whether admired or criticized, President Trump will leave an indelible mark on American history. For his accomplishments, his boldness, and his enduring impact on the nation’s political and cultural fabric—he belongs on Mount Rushmore.
