Add Parental Controls to Tesla Vehicles

Add Parental Controls to Tesla Vehicles
The Issue
The in-vehicle internet browser available in Tesla vehicles. The browser allows unrestricted internet access, including adult content, and does not include parental controls, content filtering, or usage restrictions tied to driver profiles.
Our concern is twofold:
- The browser can be accessed while the vehicle is in drive, creating driver distraction.
- There are no safeguards to prevent minors from accessing explicit content within the vehicle.
Unlike smartphones and tablets, which include built-in parental controls and screen time restrictions, this in-vehicle system offers no comparable protections.
The ability to access unrestricted web content inside a moving vehicle creates a foreseeable safety hazard. Distracted driving is a well-documented cause of accidents, and providing a full internet browser without robust safeguards increases the risk of misuse.
Additionally, families who share vehicles have no ability to restrict content access for minors, which raises concerns about child safety and consumer transparency.
Tesla Ask:
- Parental controls for in-vehicle browser and restrictions for streaming and apps, which would include all profiles being locked by a pin to prevent switching profiles without permission.
- Prevent in-vehicle browser from working while in drive
