These symbols, while important, do not encompass the full spectrum of LGBTQ identities and experiences.

The simplicity of a flag might seem insignificant to some, but for us, it represents visibility, identity, and respect. Each flag in the LGBTQ community communicates pride, belonging, and support for a specific identity or orientation. In a world striving for equality and representation, it's critical that all members of our community have their identities acknowledged and celebrated.

Research shows that representation matters. A study by GLAAD found that 20% of Americans aged 18-34 identify as LGBTQ+, a number that continues to grow. With such a significant portion of the population identifying within this community, digital platforms need to reflect this diversity.

WhatsApp and similar platforms have an opportunity to lead in digital inclusivity by expanding their range of LGBTQ flags.
