I had a site visit with Cr Stephanie Davies and Peter Benazic (GM of Infrastructure & Environment) yesterday, and took them for a walk along the path on Mulcahy Road so they could see the current state.
They both agreed it wasn't ideal, and certainly not accessible for people in the community. While we were there, quite a few people walked past and had to detour on the road, so it proved the point beautifully.
Peter indicated he will look into getting the Mulcahy Road path widened and graded, at the very least, while they look to get the proper footpath construction funded and moved up on the priority list.
He's going to email me some info about when they might be able to do this, and confirm what they can do, but it was very positive - it will mean we have a relatively safe path at least until the proper footpath is built.
I'll share that update when I receive it!
