Petition to Electronic Arts, Ubisoft and Rockstar Games

Item: Introducing Family Sharing and updating launchers to be compatible with legacy games

Dear Electronic Arts, Ubisoft and Rockstar Games management team,

We, the signatories of this petition, are gathering votes in favor of bringing Family Sharing to your own launchers, such as the EA App, Rockstar Games Launcher and Ubisoft Connect.

Problem:

Currently, none of your launchers support Family Sharing, which prevents family members from playing games you purchase on the same computer under their own accounts. This creates an inconvenience for families who want to share their game libraries and play together.

Advantage of Family Sharing:

• Allows family members to enjoy previously purchased games without having to purchase them again.
• Encourages shared gaming experiences between family and friends.
• Eliminates the need to create additional accounts or purchase new copies of games.

Example:

Valve has demonstrated the power of Steam's Family Sharing feature, which allows users to play games from other accounts and even from other computers. We ask you to follow their example and add Family Sharing support to your launchers.

Additional for Ubisoft:

We also encourage you to update Ubisoft Connect to be compatible with legacy Uplay games. Renaming the achievement system to the challenge system resulted in achievements not being displayed in older games such as Watch_Dogs 2, Far Cry 4, and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.

Request:

We ask you to take the following measures:

• Implement the Family Sharing feature in your launchers.
• Update Ubisoft Connect to support legacy Uplay games, including translating achievements into challenges.

Many gamers are looking forward to these changes. We believe that implementing Family Sharing and updating your launchers will significantly improve the user experience and strengthen gaming communities.
