The Issue

In 2024, a Super Sentai crossover movie titled "King-Ohger vs Kyoryuger" introduced a power-up mode exclusively for Kyoryu Red called Gabutyra Kyoryu Red. Toei Company recolored the Gaburevolver and based it off Red's mecha Gabutyra. Similar to his previous power-up, Kyoryu Red Carnival, Red has to use two Zyudenchi to transform into modes based on the team's giant robot, Kyoryuzin. The two Zyudenchi in the movie are Quetzalcross and Mosasawrus, which he uses to transform into a mode that is not based on Kyoryuzin. Quetzalcross forms a crossbow on his right arm, and Mosasawrus forms a chainsaw on his left arm. Some fans say that this power-up is ten times more powerful than Carnival.

We all know that Tyler, the Dino Charge Red Ranger, has a Battlizer called T-Rex Supercharge. It's a power-up mode that gives him the ability to transform into modes based on the Dino Charge Megazord. Since Super Mega Gold from Super Megaforce, T-Rex Supercharge is the second Battlizer to have originated from a Super Sentai series.

Power Rangers Unlimited may be in progress, but no Battlizers have been announced yet. This might be a chance for BOOM! Studios and Hasbro to adapt Gabutyra Kyoryu Red for future comics. Since Zyudenchi numbers 24 and 25 form weapons on Red's arms this might also be a chance to make Rangers out of the Mosasaurus and the Quetzalcoatlus. This Battlizer adaptation will also pay tribute to former Dino Charge actor Brennan Mejia as Tyler. Let's hope that there are more comic Battlizers in the future as well.
