The Issue
🎮 Activision: Fix DMZ Servers — Or Give Us Our Money Back!
We are Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II / Warzone players, and we've had enough.
What Is the Problem?
For the past several months, we have been experiencing severe and ongoing server issues — particularly in DMZ mode:
❌ Constant disconnections mid-game — "Lost connection to Host/Server. Connection timed out" — forcing us back to the main menu with no warning
❌ Extreme lag and server instability making fair gameplay impossible
❌ Rampant cheaters — Activision's RICOCHET anti-cheat system is clearly not working
❌ Underbarrel and undermap glitch exploiters roaming freely without punishment
❌ Game-breaking one-shot shotgun exploits going unpatched for months
This is not a temporary technical glitch. This is negligence.
What We Demand
We call on Activision to take immediate action:
Upgrade and stabilize server infrastructure — the current state is unacceptable
Make RICOCHET anti-cheat actually work — ban cheaters, not just detect them
Patch all known glitches and exploits as a top priority
Communicate transparently with the player base — tell us what is being done and when
Offer refunds to players who request them — because the product we paid for is not functioning as advertised
💰 We Have the Right to a Refund — And Here's Why
When you purchase a game or in-game content, you are entering a consumer contract. Activision has an obligation to deliver a functional product.
Under consumer protection laws, including:
🇪🇺 EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) — goods and services must conform to their description and be fit for purpose
🇧🇪 Belgian Consumer Protection Law (Book VI, Code of Economic Law) — sellers are liable for non-conforming products
🇬🇧 UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 — digital content must be of satisfactory quality
🇺🇸 FTC consumer protection regulations — deceptive practices and undelivered services can be challenged
A game that constantly disconnects, is overrun by cheaters, and has known exploits left unpatched is not fit for purpose.
What you can do right now:
📧 Email Activision Support and formally request a refund citing "product not fit for purpose"
💳 Contact your bank or credit card provider and initiate a chargeback if Activision refuses
🛡️ File a complaint with your national consumer protection authority:Belgium: Economische Inspectie / Inspection Économique via economie.fgov.be
EU: European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net) via eccnet.eu
USA: FTC via reportfraud.ftc.gov
Why This Matters
We paid for this game. We paid for Battle Passes, Operator bundles, and weapon blueprints. We deserve a working experience in return.
You cannot charge for a service you fail to deliver.
If this petition reaches its goal, we will forward it directly to:
