We are a team of passionate behavior technicians, giving our best every day to provide quality therapy to children with autism. Despite our commitment and over a year of bargaining, we find ourselves without a fair contract that recognizes our hard work and provides the support and benefits we need.

Since May 1st of 2025, we have been negotiating in good faith, aiming to secure wages that reflect our skills, and create a work environment that prioritizes our safety and allows our voices to be heard. Verbal Beginnings has refused to negotiate wages, keeping all of us well below the poverty line. The absence of a fair contract not only affects our livelihood but also impedes our ability to deliver the highest quality of service to our clients.

Statistics show that unionized workplaces receive better working conditions, more equitable pay, and improved job satisfaction, directly translating into better service outcomes. Our goal is simple: attain a fair union contract that guarantees just compensation, and a safe and collaborative work environment.

We propose a realistic and actionable solution: Urge Verbal Beginnings to return to the bargaining table, address our concerns adequately and negotiate a fair contract. Pay equity is not just a demand—it's a necessity.
