Improve grass mowing in Crace

Improve grass mowing in Crace
The issue
Grass mowing in common/recreational areas in Crace, ACT, has significantly deteriorated over the past several months. Large areas are not being mowed anymore. This includes highly used areas in the "Hilltop Reserve" next to the children's playground and the Crace Memorial, as well as large areas adjacent to the Gungaderra Grasslands Nature Reserve (along Drooka Crescent). These areas have been previously mowed since the inception of the suburb.
Allowing these areas to remain un-mowed creates the following issues (in no particular order):
(i) These areas are an eyesore.
(ii) They are a fire hazard.
(iii) They prevent access to the Nature Reserve (access to the ACT government-installed ladders to enter the reserve is no longer possible).
(iv) They reduce playing areas for kids.
(v) They bring the snake habitat substantially closer to residential and recreational areas.
We would like these areas in our suburb to be mowed the way they were meant to be and the way they were mowed when the suburb was established.
