Dear Ms. Krishnamurthy, Thanks for the quick response. We have read and re-read Dr. Brand's statement to the community. Unfortunately this message has no concrete information as what led to such a decision. We went to the meeting yesterday evening @ RJ Grey with the hope to get some answers to the concerns we had. While some residents were allowed to make public statement, there was no response from the school committee. Also, as per the message from the School Committee chair in yesterday's meeting, it seemed that May-24th meeting is scheduled to discuss the next steps. Though there seems to be an urgency to move to the next steps, as a resident we have the right to the information as what led to this situation before moving forward . This understanding is important to establish the ongoing trust on School Committee and future working. Can you please clarify that in May-24th meeting along with the next steps, you will also provide further information as what led to Dr. Brand's departure? Unfortunately yesterday's statement such as difference in educational and operational philosophies are not very concrete examples as what led to the difference and such a sudden change. Does the views and interests which are not aligned expand to the community as a whole or just to the views of the members of the school committee. These are questions which most residents have in their mind and would like to know further. I am positive the residents of Acton-Boxborough would like to get more clarity on this matter. Please note: As the petitioner, I am obliged to share any information I send or receive on this matter to all the people who have signed this petition. Regards, Susri
