We believe that the plan to expand the 1:1 iPad initiative into HSE elementary schools has been thoroughly researched and piloted over the last five years. Although we know that the plan is not perfect, we support the efforts of the school district to address our concerns and act in the best interest of our children. We appreciate the slow and deliberate pace with which this plan has been implemented.

We know that a small contingent of vocal community members have asked you to delay this rollout by at least another year. Their fears are based on a lack of information, a reliance on pseudoscience, and over exposure to Internet scare columns. If your attempts to educate and inform these individuals proves to be fruitless then we ask you to not be swayed by their fears.

We may not agree with every aspect of the HSE21 initiative, but we know that our school administrators and our school board representatives will continue to use their expertise to provide the best possible education for our children.
