The Issue

As a tax-paying citizen, I am deeply concerned about the current state of our taxation system. It feels like we are paying taxes on top of taxes, with little transparency or fairness. This is not just my personal sentiment but echoes the feelings of countless others across our nation.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS), while essential in its role as a tax collector, has become an overly complex entity that often confuses more than it clarifies. The current progressive tax system is riddled with loopholes that has hurt the middle class, blue collar tax payers the most.

A low flat tax system could be the solution to these problems. This would mean everyone pays the same percentage of their income, regardless of how much they earn. According to a study by Stanford University's Hoover Institution, adopting such a system could boost economic growth and simplify our complex tax code (Hoover Institution, 2016).

By abolishing the IRS and implementing this low flat tax system, we can create a fairer taxation process for all citizens - one that is simple to understand and easy to comply with.

We urge lawmakers to consider this change seriously for the benefit of all taxpayers in our country. Please sign this petition if you believe in creating an equitable taxation system through abolishing IRS and implementing a low flat tax regime.
