Petitioning Representative Lamar Smith and 93 others

Abolish Life Time Alimony in the United States of America and Promote Equality and Independence for People going through the Dissolution of their Marriage.

The Family Courts in the United States of America are in systemic failure and being polluted and corrupted by money. All alimony state statuates need to be revised to come in line with 21st century family norms and to estlabllish equity in the divorce process. With all states alimony has become an entitlement program. The family court judges are not obeying statutes , established case law or rules of the court in the award of alimony. Life time alimony creates a dependent class of people and harms the children of the marriage by not fostering a loving relationship between both parents and the children.

I just signed the following petition addressed to: All US Senators US Congressmen/Women and all State Governors.

----------------
Enact New National Legislation ACT to repeal life time alimony in all states. The Family Sections of the State Bar Associations are thwarting the democratic process in our state legislatures. The state legislatures can not be trusted to enact fair alimony reform legislation. The Bar Associations have created a huge conflict of interest in the legislative process. Our families and children are suffering. Alimony has become an entitlement program. The family court judges are not obeying statutes , established case law or rules of the court in the award of alimony. Life time alimony creates a dependent class of people and harms the children of the marriage by not fostering a loving relationship between both parents and the children.

Sincerely,
