I am personally touched by the issue of child labour, a practice I believe is not just inhumane but utterly stupid. It's heartbreaking to see children, who should be in schools learning and playing, being subjected to hard labour. According to the International Labour Organization (ILO), there are approximately 152 million children involved in child labour worldwide, with nearly half engaged in hazardous work. This is not just a violation of human rights; it robs these children of their childhood and potential.

Child labour perpetuates poverty by denying children the education or skills training they need to secure better jobs in adulthood. The World Bank states that ending child labour could generate benefits worth six times more than the costs, mostly from increased earnings.

We must take immediate action against this grave injustice. Governments around the world should enforce stricter laws against child exploitation and ensure access to quality education for all children regardless of their socio-economic status.
