The students living at Abodus , Glassworks Liverpool, urge Abodus Student Living to release all students who plan to leave the accommodation for the last term (23.04.2020-23.07.2020) from their contracts and no further fees to be due.

Following the announcement made recently connecting to COVID-19, the majority of lectures and seminar-based teaching will now be delivered online with the Liverpool John Moores closing all buildings. Therefore most of the residents of Abodus Glassworks left to return home. Many students have left their accommodation due to advice from both the universities and government, yet Abodus are continuing to support the narrative that this was a choice instead of a necessity. 

Several other student accommodation providers have waived third semester fees for their accommodation, such as Unite Students and Liberty living, this is because they understand the financial vulnerability of students in this difficult and unpredictable time.

We ask Abodus and many other accommodations to allow cancellation of contracts for the 3rd semester rent, those that have left under the governments isolation and quarantine statements.
