Duncanville, AL has more power and internet outages in a month than the whole state has in a year. Alabama power and Spectrum internet need to come up with a solution to stop this from happening. Small winds and light rain causes it to go out. They ride around in air conditioned vehicles and just look at the damage. It takes both alabama power and spectrum at least 4-6 hours to fix something small. They need to either cut away dead trees and limbs or make the lines and poles stronger. As a resident of Duncanville, this has become a problem. I have lived here for 20 years, and my parents over 55 years, and we have never had this many power outages. During the hot months people are sitting in their homes at 80 degrees or higher for hours. Medical devices cannot be used. When the power is out for so long phones die, meaning we cannot contact anyone. Alabama power has had record breaking profits this year. With the prices people pay and the profits they receive, they should be able to fix the problem. When you call alabama power during business hours, the wait time can be an hour or longer. As a small community, we are often ignored over overlooked. This petition will get alabama power and spectrums attention. Please sign and share!
