I am making this petition because I believe that ATLA (Avatar: The Last Airbender)  deserves a continuation of its incredible story. LOK (Legend of Korra) follows up ATLA, however, with an almost entirely new story where many of the memorable characters from ATLA are seen merely in flashbacks, photographs, brief appearances in their old age, or are mentioned by a living character, causing much debate. The fandom has grown incredibly since ATLA’s first appearance in 2005, and there are so many fan theories about the adult lives of our main characters; Avatar Aang, Katara, Sokka, Fire Lord Zuko, Toph Beifong, Kyoshi Warrior Suki, and of course Appa and Momo along with other memorable characters. The reason I mention this, is because there is much uncertainty about the futures of the lovable teenagers that are in ATLA. Fans want to see the full story of the adult lives of these complex, thrilling characters! Although the series ended after only three spectacular seasons, the comics following contain what would have most likely been the fourth season. While many fans are ok with a non-screenplay take on the fourth season, it is the 70 years between ATLA and LOK that fans want to see in episodes. This will give the fandom the closure they are seeking, and I believe that a new series is possible because of revenue most likely made from ATLA now being on Netflix, and a planned live action on Netflix.
