We Did It!

Today, we celebrate an incredible victory for our community and for one remarkable tree.

Council has officially passed the motion:“That guiderail be installed to protect the Burr Oak tree on County Road 41.”

This means our beloved Oak will remain standing, protected for generations to come.

This victory belongs to every single person who signed the petition, attended meetings, shared posts, spoke up and never gave up. Your voices showed Council just how much this tree means to our community, our history and our natural heritage.

What began as a small group of concerned citizens grew into a united community determined to find a solution that balanced public safety with preservation. Together, we proved that when people work respectfully, passionately and persistently, positive change is possible.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, to everyone who stood with us.

Thank you also, to County Council for listening, taking the time to explore alternatives, and ultimately choosing a solution that protects both the public and this magnificent Oak.

Today, we celebrate not only the saving of a tree, but the strength of a community that came together to make a difference.

Our Oak tree stands because you stood for it.

THANK YOU !
