As a young voter, I am deeply concerned about the future of our democracy. The youngest generations of voters in America cannot continue to support a system where foreign agents can influence our political system through campaign contributions. This is a concern shared by many across the nation as it has become apparent with the nationwide solidarity in the commitment to making real moves toward brokering peace with Israel and Palestine and ensuring that corporate and financial interests don't undermine the will of the American people in fear of real-world repercussions for our youngest for the gain of few.

Foreign interference in our elections is not just a hypothetical threat. According to the U.S Federal Election Commission (FEC), it's illegal for foreign nationals to contribute, donate or spend funds in connection with any federal, state, or local election in the United States (FEC regulations). Yet there are loopholes and enforcement issues that allow this to happen.

A report from OpenSecrets.org shows that foreign-connected PACs spent $10 million on federal-level candidates during the 2018 midterm elections alone. This is an alarming figure which indicates how deeply entrenched this issue has become.

The Zionist lobby group AIPAC, or the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, not to be confused with a PAC, has been influencing campaigns massively and on all sides including bureaucratic institutions since 1963. AIPAC was born just one year after John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy forced AIPAC's predecessor, the AZC or American Zionist Council, to register as a foreign agent, which barred them from making campaign contributions and forced them to abide by our foreign policy as it should.

We need immediate action to close these loopholes and strengthen enforcement of existing laws. We must ensure that only American citizens and entities can have financial influence over our elected officials.

This petition is not intended as a cure-all, but a first step and a commitment to the American people. It is not a demand, but instead is a cry to the most reasonable candidate, and one of a legacy for standing up for the youth.

This petition calls upon Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Vice-Presidential candidate Nicole Shanahan, to pledge to force AIPAC to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) as an agent of the government of Israel. This is also a call to do the same to all foreign agents who are not abiding by the laws of our foreign policy, to register as a foreign agent under FARA if RFK Jr. wins the White House.
