Please share this petition and keep up the momentum. Tweet, Facebook, Snapchat, do whatever you can to help keep this petition going. As an educator who works with children in our public schools, I really do believe that a standardized alarm system will help save lives.
I work with children with disabilities in our public schools, for the past 10 years I have served the Air National Guard, and in the past I have also worked as a security guard and business associate for a mutual fund company. I have protected our young, educated them and continue to do so, served our soldiers, catered to our elderly in nursing homes, and moved billions for investment companies. I honestly do believe that by spending 10 billion dollars, or about 1/20 of 1% of annual US revenue on lockdown systems, we would be able to protect our children to the greatest degree. The system could be built upon in phases for each school district based on the standards that you and I are here now fighting for. Thank you all so much for your support and continued support and effort in this petition and the movement that it will someday soon bring. Together we are going to take this petition and our voice all the way to the President and the Untied States Congress to demand legislation for those changes and standards. Again thank you all..
Respectfully and sincerely,
Michael Thomas
P.s I do not believe in arming teachers and school staff. This article is another reason why we signed this petition. We do need increased school safety, but we should not have guns inside schools.
