We want standardized lockdown alarms in all public schools in the United States of America. we will not stop this movement until our schools are safer and new national standards for lockdowns and school safety are adopted. The attached CNN article talks about how students do not feel safe and how they are fed up with the violence. Many students are calling out for more education and training for school lockdowns so that they would know what to do in those situations. They feel unsafe in their schools and that’s unacceptable. This is yet another reason why we started and signed this petition. We do not seek gun wielding teachers or prison security in our schools. We seek safer school structures through standardized lockdown alarm systems. This combine with increased teacher and student training would give our public schools vastly increased protection. As someone who works in our public schools and our air national guard, I believe in standing up for what is right and peacefully speaking out. I hope you do too. Please read this article.
