First, the signees of this petition must know, the author, Dr. Curtis E. Gatewood, is a concerned citizen of the United States of America.  The said author seeks no funds nor donations as part of this heartfelt and purpose-driven initiative.  Consequently, any solicitation of a donation from the petition holder (Change.org), is not to be seen as solicitation from Gatewood or any other organizations associated with the same.  Therefore, please feel free to sign the petition without feeling obligated to share a donation. 

The petition is not part of a political party, or political campaign.  The petition is to be seen as an independent and urgent call by WE THE PEOPLE, for the immediate resignation of Donald J. Trump from the Office of U.S. President &  Commander-In-Chief for the purpose of protecting life, health, rights, peace, happiness, safety, liberty, justice, and constitutionality for all Americans. 

This call further demands  the disallowance of any member within the said Administration who partook in pertinent part of  the Administration’s unscrupulous actions described herein, from serving in his absence upon President Trump’s removal.

Within their first year in office following Trump’s 2024 election, already stigmatized by Trump’s 34 felony convictions, 2 impeachments, a violent insurrection against America’s democratic voting process which led to about $2 billion in damage to the U.S. Capitol, and an attempted mob assassination (to “Hang Mike Pence”) of a sitting U.S. Vice President, the Administration has used pathological lies to devastatingly create unnecessary deaths, domestic terrorism, needless destruction, and irreparable harm toward every imaginable category of the nation’s best interests and subsequent credibility at home and throughout the world. 

The Trump Administration unexpectedly lost 92,000 jobs in just the month of February 2026 alone.  The said losses come after the passage of President Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill (BBB)” which became a “Big” Ugly Mess  for most Americans, that was signed into law, on July 4, 2025. 

The Trump Administration’s BBB kicked more than 15 million people off their health insurance; made the largest cuts to food and nutrition assistance in history; and made higher education even more unaffordable.  Why? Only to re-rob the poorest Americans, to pay for tax cuts that overwhelmingly benefit the richest 1 to 10 percent of the American population. 

The non-partisan analysis from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) and Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) shows that the BBB worsens inequality, gives the super-rich an unprecedented tax break, and makes America’s working class far worse off. Adding insult to injury, when including the cost of debt service, CBO finds that this bill adds over $4 trillion to the national debt.

Additionally, there has been unprecedented efforts to dismantle the entire U.S. Education Department which has subsequently caused the loss of countless early intervention programs for America’s struggling children. 

The Trump Administration has enforced an aggressive and egregious use of the U.S. Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency which has led to unjust American deaths and the mass incarceration of immigrants of color in conjunction with already overly incarcerated Black Americans, into privatized prisons.  Private prison owners contributed largely to the Trump campaign. Such a trend creates a new form of American slavery considering the 13th Amendment of The Constitution allows slavery, or such servitude where there is the imprisonment for a crime. Yet, Trump was convicted and immediately propelled to the nation’s highest office without serving time or even a correctional period of remorse and rehabilitation. 

Mr. Trump’s totally absurd lies which claimed an “imminent threat” from Iran, not only led to unaffordable gasoline prices, higher food costs, and the collapse of an economy that was already experiencing a horrific trajectory, the lies which led to a war of totally unacceptable “choice,” will likely add trillions more to the 4 trillion that BBB had already added to the current national debt of nearly 40 trillion.  

Such astronomical spending and subsequent debt put at greater risk a loss of vital programs that aid poor or struggling Americans; such debt could ultimately eliminate those resources that serve older Americans like Social Security and Medicare.

Additionally, the aforementioned dishonesty and war of choice have led to America’s illegal bombing of a girls’ primary school in Minab, southern Iran, killing over 150 and wounding almost 100 mainly children.  The United Nations Educational and Scientific Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has determined the bombing of the school constitutes “a grave violation of humanitarian law.”  This should be seen as the “enough is enough.”  No child should have to die due to a president’s tendency to lie. 

In short, in an irreconcilable manner, The President has egregiously violated and failed his sworn duty to faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and the will to the best of his ability, preserve, protect, shield from danger, injury, destruction, or damage, and defend the Constitution of the United States. The current aforementioned trajectory is unsustainable as the evidence clearly suggests, America cannot survive another three years of this Administration.    

Therefore our signatures call for Mr. Trump and other key leaders of this Administration to resign in a manner that is non-partisan, nonviolent, decent, in order, and serves the total best interests of America, our world, our posterity, and the children of our family of humanity at home and abroad.
