Dear Honorable Leaders,

We, the concerned citizens and supporters of democratic governance in The Gambia, write to you with urgency and hope for the future of our nation.

Guided by the principles of the Constitution of the Republic of The Gambia, which affirms that sovereignty belongs to the people and guarantees our right to political participation, we respectfully call on you to come together in unity for the national interest.

At this critical moment in our country’s journey, we believe that division among opposition forces weakens the collective voice of the people. Unity, on the other hand, strengthens democracy, accountability, and the possibility of meaningful change.

We therefore call on you, as leaders entrusted with the hopes of many Gambians, to engage in sincere dialogue and form a united opposition coalition ahead of the upcoming elections.

Such a coalition should reflect competence, integrity, and a shared national vision. As part of this effort, we propose a framework that considers:

Ousainou Darboe as a coalition presidential candidate
Essa Faal in a leading executive role such as Vice President
Other respected leaders serving in strategic national positions based on experience and capability
This proposal is made not out of division, but out of a genuine desire to see collaboration, strength, and effective leadership for The Gambia.

This call is not about individuals or parties alone, it is about the future of our nation. It is about ensuring that the will of the people is represented through unity, cooperation, and a shared commitment to democratic principles.

We urge you to rise above political differences and act in the best interest of The Gambian people.

History will remember those who chose unity when it mattered most.
