"A Murderer Gets A Slap On The Wrist? Seeking True Justice For Krystofer Encabo!"

"A Murderer Gets A Slap On The Wrist? Seeking True Justice For Krystofer Encabo!"
The Issue
Our plea arises from a personal, tragic experience. We are the family of Krystofer-Glenn Encabo, abruptly deprived of life by Santino Arce Figueroa. Dishearteningly, we stand witness to a glaring injustice as Santino Arce Figueroa, initially charged with second degree murder, was given a far lighter sentence of assault in the fourth degree. This class A misdemeanor is a mere slap on the wrist for a crime that carries such permanent devastation.
In Alaska, an alarming number of violent crimes are being alarmingly escalated. According to the FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program, Alaska's violent crime rate more than triples the national average. Yet, it appears that the Anchorage judicial system turns a blind eye to such statistics, allowing the most violent criminals to walk free on certain pretenses. This is a disheartening trend that favors criminals rather than justice for victims.
Krystofer's case is a painful example of this skewed balance, which leaves us feeling robbed of justice. We MUST reach this goal before the 16th on December, 2024. We, therefore, demand the Anchorage judicial system to uphold its duty to dispense equal justice. We call for Santino Arce Figueroa to be given the original penalty that aligns with the severity of his actions - second-degree murder. Enough is enough. Victims and their families deserve justice without compromise. To prevent another Krystofer and another mourning family like ours, we need your support. Please, sign this petition and demand justice for Krystofer-Glenn Yancha Encabo.
