It's almost time. I don't know how this works because I've never had to do anything like this before but now that I see something like this can possibly make a change and if it's for the better then I'll not hesitate to help anyone out! This will be available to sign until July 2nd 2022 and after that... I'll continue to make those calls. I'll continue emailing our Governor here in Kentucky. I'll do whatever I can. The adoption will happen in a couple of months! 

I, then, will have to say goodbye to 3 of my grandkids. I will not know where they're at. How they're doing. There will be no more "Grandparents Day" for me. The list goes on. I was a hands on grandparent. I truly lived my life for my grandkids! And to have all that taken away in a blink of an eye, has destroyed me! The heartache and the pain is almost unbearable! Forcing yourself to do the things you used to enjoy doing is something that shouldn't have to be! I know that I've lived with this for the past year but I honestly don't know how I'm gonna be able to do it for the next 7, 11 and 14 years. 

I have thanked everyone who has took their time to read, to comment and to share this petition. I will continue to do so. Our voices needs to be heard. As Grandparents, we shouldn't have to fight to keep our families together. The love we have as Grandparents is beyond beautiful. It's a love like no other! So why do we have to fight to prove this? I don't understand... as I'm sure you all don't either. 

All this is about is us having rights to provide for our grandkids. We deserve to have our grandkids in our lives.

From the bottom of my heart. I am truly sorry if any of you are going through the same thing! I know of 3 families who have lost their grandkids to foster care. I will ask for their permission to share their stories. To get it out there so that they too will have the opportunity to be heard!
