Dear Supporter,

This is not just a thank you.

This is a soulful acknowledgment of your courage—your choice to stand up for what many whisper about but fear to confront.

When you signed and supported the petition titled:

“Safeguard Our Daughters, Preserve Our Identity: A Constitutional Call for Enacting the Anti-Conversion Law and Reforming the Special Marriage Act in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir,”

you didn’t just participate in a campaign—you joined a collective resistance, one that dared to speak the hardest truths in one of the most complex and emotionally wounded regions of India.

In a place where even the act of seeking protection as a non-Muslim can be interpreted as provocation, you chose to stand firm. You chose conscience over convenience. Truth over fear.

And that is not just commendable—it is historic.

This land, once a cradle of syncretic civilization, has in recent decades become a cauldron where identity is weaponized, and justice is uneven. For far too long, the minority voice—especially that of the Kashmiri Pandit and other non-Muslim communities—has been reduced to a footnote, if not erased altogether. Institutions meant to protect have turned indifferent. Mechanisms of governance have become selective. And laws—when needed most—have too often looked away.

In such a system, the very act of asking for legal safeguards, cultural respect, and human dignity is seen as an affront. And yet, here we are—unapologetic, unafraid, and united.

What you’ve helped ignite is not just a petition—it is a moral charge, a peaceful but potent call that echoes across the length and breadth of this wounded valley. It says clearly:

We are not asking for privilege. We are demanding parity. We are not seeking dominance. We are defending dignity.

And we do this not with hate in our hearts but with hope in our fists and truth on our tongues.

We do this not to divide, but to remind this country that no constitutional democracy is complete if one part of its people must beg for safety while the rest sleep in peace.

You—each one of you—are the pulse of this effort. You remind us that no community is truly voiceless, unless it chooses silence.

So, thank you—not just for your support, but for your bravery, your empathy, and your will to confront the uncomfortable. Let this be the beginning of sustained engagement. Share it. Talk about it. Ask your leaders to respond. Let this be the moment the silence broke—not with noise, but with purpose.

Let our minds remain open—but our fists, closed in resolve.

With heartfelt gratitude and collective hope,

Kashmiri Pandit Sangarash Samiti
