Our community continues to show up in powerful ways. As of today, this petition has grown to 3,400 signatures — and the number continues to rise. Each signature represents a family, a story, and a shared belief that our voices deserve to be heard, and  not only heard but, valued.

We are pleased to announce that a community meeting has been scheduled for families and supporters who wish to come together, share concerns, and stand united.

📍 Lincoln County Public Library
🗓 January 22, 2026
⏰ 6:00 PM

This meeting will include a very special guest speaker and is intended to be an initial gathering — one that we hope will grow into more regular, organized meetings as we continue advocating for our community. This is a space for families to come together, to listen, and to remind one another that we are not alone in this fight.

In addition to continued online support, the official petition creator has begun distributing printed flyers with a scannable QR code that links directly to the official petition page, making it easier than ever for community members to sign and share. Updates are also posted regularly through the petition page, and we encourage everyone to check back often and follow along as this journey unfolds!

A Facebook page has also been created specifically for petition updates, community voices, and upcoming announcements. The page is titled:
“Fort Logan Petition Updates and Community Voices.”

We encourage everyone to join, participate, and help keep our community informed and connected.

We are also making a conscious effort to include those who may not have access to technology. A paper roster has been created and is being distributed within our Amish communities, ensuring their voices — though not easily captured online — are still acknowledged and valued. Their reliance on Fort Logan Hospital, their fears, and their concerns matter just as much, and it was important to us that an effort be made to include them in this process.

We continue to hear from additional news outlets who are reaching out to cover this journey — a reflection, perhaps, of how deeply this issue resonates and how united our community has become.

While many women and families are still feeling displaced, devastated, and uncertain, there is also growing comfort in knowing we are coming together. There is strength in shared voices, and hope in collective action. Our providers are doing everything within their power to remain by their patients’ sides, yet the uncertainty women face — particularly being forced to change birth locations late in pregnancy — remains a heavy and heartbreaking burden.

As an expecting mother myself, my heart breaks not only for my own experience, but for every woman and family carrying stress, sadness, and fear that cannot be eased in any other way than allowing us to finish our birth journeys where we intentionally planned. Fort Logan Hospital Birthing Spa was chosen with purpose and reason. Its amenities, environment, and support for a wide range of birth plans — especially natural, low-intervention births — are truly unmatched and deeply valued.

Please continue to spread the word, attend the upcoming meeting if you are able, and stay tuned for more updates as they come. Every voice matters. Every family matters. And together, we will continue to stand for compassionate consideration and meaningful dialogue.

What we are walking through is heavy. Many families are carrying fear, disappointment, and uncertainty during what should be one of the most joyful seasons of life. If you are feeling overwhelmed, confused, or heartbroken — you are not alone.

This movement was never about anger. It was born from love: love for our mothers, our babies, our providers, and a place that has safely welcomed generations into this world. Every voice raised, every signature added, every conversation shared is an act of care — a reminder that our community shows up when it matters most.

There is strength in standing together. There is comfort in being seen and heard. And there is hope in knowing that when a community speaks with one heart, compassion has a chance to be found.
