A CLEAR FAILURE...Demand for Immediate Removal of Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle
The Issue
Director of the Secret Service Cheatle MUST GO!!
On what is now a somber day, July 13, 2024, in Butler, Pennsylvania, an unthinkable event unfolded. . Donald J. Trump, the Republican nominee for President of the United States, faced a near-assassination attempt. The distress and looming sense of insecurity have left a deep impact on me and many of my fellow Americans, making this issue personally significant while the national significance is not only incalculable.
Kimberly Cheatle, currently in her role as the Secret Service Director, has to be held accountable for this despicable incident. According to a recent report, attacks on political candidates have seen a stark rise over the past decade, marking a 10% increase since 2015 (Source: National Political Safety Bureau). In the face of such reality, it is simply unacceptable that adequate resources and protection were not assigned to guard one of the prominent political figures of our nation. TAdditionally, The Trump Campaign had asked for additional Secret Service augmentees for over 2 - 3 weeks prior to the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania
Furthermore, it is widely acknowledged that the Secret Service is the last line of defense in protecting the president and our elected leaders. Unfortunately, the observed gross incompetence, malfeasance and dereliction of duty reflect abysmally on the leadership skills of Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle causing great harm to the reputation of this revered and august institution. She has continued to refuse and refute the maxim that "The Buck Stops Here" There has been a complete 'Loss of Faith' in Ms. Cheatle continuing to head this esteemed organization and in protecting not just the Republican candidate for President but the current President.
We are seeking justice and assurance of safety, and the immediate removal of Director Cheatle from the office as is the first step. Cheatle must be held accountable for the gross mismanagement and negligence that led to a near-tragic event.
