A Call to End Abuse and Inequality in the Church!

A Call to End Abuse and Inequality in the Church!
The Issue
For years, the voices of women and girls within the church community have been underrepresented. While we have seen progress in the representation of women in the pulpit, the critical issue of how women and girls are treated remains a deeply concerning, yet often unspoken matter. It is essential that women and girls have an unbiased platform to share their stories and advocate for themselves to promote their emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being in a safe and purposeful manner.
This petition is not an attempt to undermine or criticize church leadership, but rather to shed light on the pervasive discrimination and unjust treatment of women and girls in the church, regardless of denomination or affiliation.
Serious issues, from exclusion from church roles to sexual and emotional abuse, have been ignored under the guise of "staying in the spirit" for far too long. The harmful practices of girls being fondled and women being degraded in male-led counseling sessions behind closed doors are intolerable and must be confronted.
Scripture tells us that "God is touched with the feelings of our infirmities," so why is the blatant disregard for the well-being of women in the church not being addressed in a fair and effective way? This is a call for both women and girls to unite in the spirit of transparency, to speak up and share their untold traumas. They are encouraged to share their authentic experiences, not from a place of victimhood, but from a position of empowerment, to drive change not only for themselves but for their families, their places of worship, and the wider community.
