A Call for Unbiased Healthcare Education- Reconsidering Collaborations.

A Call for Unbiased Healthcare Education- Reconsidering Collaborations.
The Issue
We, concerned individuals committed to ethical healthcare and patient well-being, are petitioning the following medical associations TO CANCEL SPONSORSHIP FOR MEDICAL BIOETHICS COURSE, which also includes the session addressed by a speaker from Israel on the topic:
" Protecting future generations"
The course is organised by the International Chair of Bioethics in HAIFA, ISRAEL, and sponsored by these associations:
1. MSAI- Medical Student Association, India- National Member Organization of IFMSA ( International Federation of Medical Student Associates)
2. AMSA- Asian Medical Students Association
3. Rotaract Club of MEDICREW
4. Rotaract Club CADUCEUS
5. SIMSA- South Indian Medical Students Association
6. IAG- SC- Indian Academy of Geraritics
Why Do We Object?
Babies are being killed in the womb. #NotaTarget
The Principles of Bioethics emphasises equal treatment for patients, regardless of their backgrounds or countries of origin. The fundamental principle of "Do No Harm" is central to Bioethics.
However, recent humanitarian law violations, ongoing investigations, and several proven war crimes have cast distrust on Israel's ethical standing.
International organisations like WHO and the UN have expressed apprehension regarding Israel's targeting of hospitals, which directly contradicts the principles of Bioethics that prioritise patient well-being and the sanctity of healthcare facilities.
Therefore, we respectfully urge the mentioned medical associations to revoke their collaboration with Israel as a governing body of Bioethics. We believe that this association not only lacks sensitivity to the current situation but also undermines the very principles it seeks to promote.
As healthcare affects the general public, we firmly believe that healthcare education must be delivered from sources free from potential conflicts of interest.
I also urge any individual concerned about the well-being of society to sign the petition and support our cause.
Thank you for your attention.
