It’s time to correct an injustice! Soon after 9/11/2001 Terrorist Attacks a bill was passed called the “9/11 Victim’s Compensation Fund” to compensate first responders and other workers who were “physically injured” during the attacks. But for some reason, the 9/11 Victim’s Compensation Fund” does not compensate first responders and other workers for ‘Mental Health” issues such as PTSD, Depression, Anxiety” which as we are all well aware now are just as life changing and devastating to these workers and their families. I am asking for your help in changing this hypocrisy in the law and give 9/11 first responders and others who suffer from mental health injuries the same compensation and benefits as those who were physically injured during the horrific attacks on 9/11. I am a firefighter who is disabled for mental health issues due to my work at 9/11 in NYC. It’s time to treat mental health issues as seriously as we treat physical health issues! Thank you!
