Your support.  Your signature. Your passion for a safe New Orleans. It’s what we were promised and the Mayor and The NOPD are responsible for that …. Without a fully staffed NOPD that promise - our agreement with the Mayor as engaged citizens and residents -  can’t be delivered … We are down 500 officers. Our juvenile center is 50 percent staffed. 

Where is our leadership telling us the plan? 
Crickets … Silence… aren’t you a little bit annoyed yet. Of course you are. That’s why you signed … and we need more to shine a brighter light on our unsafe neighborhoods. 

The good news though … when other agency personnel support NOPD - your safety trumps everything else. The US Marshall’s office competent  staff assisted the hood Ken and women at NOPD and a few bad folks are back in custody. In turn those young folks will again be given  resources to turn their lives around IF they choose that path.

but what about the citizens who was attacked and had her vehicle taken. What help does she get to overcome that terror? 

What  about our path for safety? Our neighborhood safety. Our quality of life. When did the good citizen’s needs get trumped by bad players and non contributors? 

Good  question. Right? 

While you ponder that … I’d like for you to really consider five people who love you, love New Orleans , love our culture … and ask them to please join us in supporting safety for citizens and bring back up the numbers of professional policing personnel to New Orleans to create a New Orleans Safe.

is calling in the National Guard ahead of Mardi Gras and the festival season really so outrageous? It’s actually not … 

WE deserve this now.
