Disclaimer! This petition was made just fur fun (and Principal Grano already had a conversation with me and James), so don't have high (or any) expectations for this to work.

Ever since I started attending Desert Ridge Middle School (DRMS), it has had 4 minute passing periods. Here's the problem: The way the school is designed, it can take almost five minutes to get from one class to another unless you're speed-walking (especially if you're in 8th grade and/or have a class in the portables). I heard someone say they were late to 3 of their classes every day because of the one minute difference in passing period. Everyday I, myself, am seconds away from being tardy to my second period class, and I know so many other people are in the same situation. Increasing the passing period time by just one minute would decrease tardiness rates by a more than notable number. They had 5 minute passing period's before, why not again?
