Sadly, another accident occurred at this same intersection today, January 29, 2026, a little before 7:40 AM...during the morning commute, when residents, parents, and students are regularly traveling through this area.
This marks yet another preventable collision at an intersection our community has repeatedly identified as unsafe. Poor visibility, confusing right-of-way, and the lack of proper traffic control continue to create dangerous conditions.
This is not just about minor accidents or vehicle damage. When I spoke with the individuals involved today (in the van), they shared that a close friend of theirs was paralyzed at this very intersection approximately 15 years ago. That reality underscores what we have been saying all along: this intersection needs a 4-way stop sign now...not after someone is seriously injured or worse.
These are not isolated incidents. They are part of a long-standing and dangerous pattern that demands attention and action from the appropriate authorities.
If you haven’t signed or shared this petition yet, please do so today. Every signature strengthens our case and brings us one step closer to making this intersection safer for everyone who uses it. I'll reach out to PennDOT yet again...
Thank you to everyone who continues to stand up for the safety of our community.
