37M CALIFORNIANS HAVE LOST THEIR CIVIL RIGHTS - FIGHT BACK!
The Issue
The California Appeals Court has handed down a judgement, so wide sweeping that it is has TAKEN the Civil Rights of 37M Californians. Simply stated, if a person is injured by a governement official (police, Sheriff or even the State or City), they can no longer collect DAMAGES.
By removing monetary damages from the compensation equation of § 1983, the state court has removed, from civil rights victims, the right to choice of forum.
