Philip Yu-Li Ting is an American politician and a member of the Democratic Party. He served in the California State Assembly from 2012 to 2024, representing the 19th Assembly District, which includes western San Francisco and northwestern San Mateo County. Prior to his tenure in the Assembly, Ting was the Assessor-Recorder of San Francisco. He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master's in Public Policy from Harvard University. Ting has also worked as a Senior Consultant at Arthur Andersen LLP, Executive Director at the Asian Law Caucus, and in Government and Community Relations at San Francisco State University. His career reflects a strong commitment to public service and community engagement.
