35 Dogs Were Tortured at a Las Vegas Training Facility. Justice Cannot Be Optional.
The Issue
People trusted Working Dogs of Nevada with their pets.
They paid for professional training.
What they got was abuse.
In early April, Las Vegas police served a search warrant on the facility after a weeks-long investigation into training practices rising to the level of felony animal cruelty. Video obtained by local news shows a dog being kicked, then dragged by a leash while backing into a corner in fear.
They removed 35 dogs.
One employee lasted just two days before secretly recording what she saw and taking it to police. Without her, this may never have come to light.
Two people have been charged with felony counts of willfully torturing, maiming, or mutilating animals. Both posted bond and walked out. Their court date is April 29.
These dogs cannot speak for themselves.
They cannot show up to court.
They cannot demand justice.
We can.
We are calling on the Las Vegas Justice Court to pursue the maximum penalties available under Nevada law. Felony animal cruelty charges must be treated with the seriousness they deserve. A fine and a slap on the wrist is not accountability — it is permission to do it again.
Sign this petition and tell the court: the dogs of Working Dogs of Nevada deserve justice.
