As a licensed esthetician, I have witnessed first-hand the lack of structured educational programs for cosmetology professionals. This is not only detrimental to the professionals in this field but also to the clients who trust us with their skin and beauty needs.  

In our rapidly evolving world, it is crucial that we keep up with evolving and trending techniques, products, and research in cosmetics. However, without a dedicated educational program for cosmetic therapists, this becomes increasingly difficult. It's estimated that there are over 600,000+ licensed cosmetologists, barbers, estheticians and nail technicians in the United States alone (U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics), all of whom could benefit from more specialized training. 

We need an all encompassing and diversified educational program designed specifically for cosmetic therapists - one that covers an advanced  techniques, product knowledge and application methods as well as safety protocols and ethical considerations. 

By implementing such a program we can ensure higher standards across the industry while providing better service to our clients. The time has come to recognize cosmetic therapy as a profession deserving of its own comprehensive education system.
