If the South-East to South-West road is truly motorable, as publicly stated by Roosevelt Skerrit, then the public deserves clear answers to the following questions:
1. Why are public bus drivers not using the road?
2. Why are private citizens avoiding it altogether?
3. Why does the road remain officially marked as “ROAD CLOSED”?
4. Has the road been formally assessed and cleared for public use?
5. Who is responsible if an accident occurs after the public is encouraged to use it?
Until these questions are answered clearly and transparently, encouraging public use of this road is unsafe and unjustifiable.
This petition exists to protect lives, demand accountability, and ensure that public infrastructure is opened only when it is genuinely safe to do so.
